Comprehensive Business Analysis for Barberking Enterprises

Completion

November 15, 2024

Overview

This project delivers a comprehensive analysis of Barberking Enterprises' operational performance across multiple outlets. It evaluates the impact of add-on services on total revenue, customer payment preferences, transaction timing patterns for fraud detection, and individual barber performance. The goal is to optimize revenue streams, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance operational transparency.
Data Details
The objective was to analyze revenue drivers across Barberking outlets. This included assessing the impact of add on services on total revenue, understanding how payment preferences influence revenue, identifying unusual transaction timing that may indicate fraud or inefficiencies, and examining the link between barber performance and profit sharing schemes. The analysis used thousands of transaction records segmented by service, payment method, timing, and individual performance metrics.
The Problem
Popular add on services helped customer retention but added limited revenue, so better bundles and premium upsells are needed. Digital payments showed higher spending and should be encouraged through rewards and Barberking Pay. Unusual transaction gaps require monitoring to reduce inefficiency or fraud. High performing barbers proved that service volume drives revenue, supporting performance based incentives. Regular data reviews, staff training, and shared best practices will improve overall performance.
The Solution
Add-On Service Analysis: Evaluated the revenue contribution of each add-on service. Identified high-performing services for targeted promotions. Customer Payment Preference Analysis: Assessed the popularity of payment methods and their average transaction values. Provided insights into digital payment adoption trends. Fraud Detection: Detected anomalies in transaction timing using time-gap analysis. Identified barbers with unusually high or low average transaction intervals. Individual Performance and Profit Sharing: Analyzed average transaction amounts and customer counts per barber. Explored correlations between profit-sharing models and barber performance.
